Coffee Collector
Not a day goes by where I don't wake up and think about the fresh smell of coffee in the morning! I like to think of myself as someone who really enjoys the taste of coffee. As my mom points out, I like a little coffee with my creamer. In the past year of college I have tried to branch out and find every coffee shop in the area that has iced coffee.
Hatchet Coffee is one of the more popular coffee places in Boone North Carolina, and many people rave about the iced coffee and the selection of drip coffee. For me it's about location and coffee selection that makes the perfect coffee shop! Since my freshman year I have been going to a coffee shop called Espresso News, Enews for short. Why has it become the best place to be over the years? Here is a list of some of the many reasons why it's worth a visit.
Location, location, location.
What more could you ask for than to have a local coffee shop right next to campus! Once you age out of your freshman year and don't feel like being on campus all of the time, it's great to have a study place so close to all of your classes.
Latte Art
Starbucks rarely takes the time to make latte art for their customers. Understandably because they are always so packed! Enews (depending on the barista) takes their time with each latte and it always results in an amazing instagram worthy photo! It's always a surprise to see what designs they come up with.
Cheap, Delicious Drip
Drip coffee isn't hard to come by. A cup of coffee that doesn't taste burnt is a little bit harder to come buy. Not only does Espresso News have cheap drip coffee always fresh and ready to go, it always tastes amazing. Whether you are running to class or have $3.00 in your bank account, drip coffee is a quick and cheap decision you won't regret.
Baked goods! SO GOOD!
I absolutely adore a fresh scone, blueberry muffin or lemon poppy seed cookie. ESPRESSO NEWS HAS ALL OF THOSE THINGS! The worst part is having to make a decision between what fresh baked good you want to pair with your coffee. Pictured below is a Lavender scone with white chocolate topping! and some beautiful latte art.
